Job Description

Job Overview We are looking for an experienced and dependable Welder / Shop Fabricator to join our team. This position is a combination of shop fabrication and field installation, working on a variety of projects including hand railings, stairs, gates, and other custom metal fabrication. The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, can take direction, and works well with others. You should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced construction environment. A successful weld test is required prior to employment. Duties Fabricate and weld hand railings, stairs, gates, and other metal components Perform MIG and stick welding Read and follow measurements, drawings, and project specifications Prepare, cut, fit, and assemble materials for fabrication Perform welding and fabrication work both in the shop and in the field Install fabricated items at various job sites Operate equipment such as scissor lifts as needed Work safely from ladders and elevated work areas Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow company safety procedures and OSHA requirements Communicate effectively with supervisors and other members of the construction team Take direction and complete assigned work accurately and efficiently Experience
  • 1-2 years of welding/fabrication experience preferred
  • Must be proficient in MIG and stick welding
  • Previous metal fabrication experience required
  • No college degree required
  • OSHA 10 certification required
  • Must have your own basic PPE and hand tools
  • Must be able to pass a weld test
  • Ability to read measurements and follow instructions
  • Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
  • Must be dependable, hardworking, and willing to learn
  • Must be able to take direction and work well with others Physical Requirements Must be able to work a minimum of 40 hours per week
  • Must be comfortable working both indoors and outdoors and in varying weather conditions
  • Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds
  • Must be able to climb and work from ladders
  • Must be able to operate or learn to operate scissor lifts
  • Must be comfortable working at heights and in an active construction environment
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
