Lefeld Industrial & Welding Supplies is actively recruiting for High School, Trade School and College Fabrication Interns. Under guidance of Fabricator Mentor and Fabrication Manager, performs basic fabrication tasks as assigned. Develops skills to bend, cut, drill and grind safely for components of a project. Assist fabricators as needed. Participates in training programs required for the development of skills and knowledge. Communicate effectively on job assignments. Maintains the condition of a safe work area, tools and equipment. Follows all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments. Accounts for all time and material used in performing assigned duties. Actively engaged in the completion of a high school or advanced academic program aligned with this position. Developing knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and techniques used in fabrication of various jobs. Effective and timely communications skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Mechanical knowledge Bend, Cut, Drill & Grind MIG weld Stick welding Blueprint reading and interpretation Oxy-fuel cutting capabilities Manual plasma cutting Soldering and hand tool use Operating cranes for lifting heavy materials Troubleshooting Strong attention to detail Self-motivated & Good attendance
