ASME Vessel Welder Pay:
$28
  • 32/hour + Weld Bonuses | Top Performers Can Earn $100K+ We are looking for an experienced ASME Vessel Welder to join an established industrial fabrication shop.
This is a shop-based position focused on the fabrication of small pressure vessels. The work primarily involves high-quality fillet welding, nozzle installation, basic fitting, and maintaining ASME code and quality standards. ASME Vessel Welder
  • Job Responsibilities Weld small pressure vessels in an ASME code fabrication environment.
Perform primarily fillet welds on pressure-vessel assemblies. Weld and install approximately one nozzle per vessel. Perform basic fitting, alignment, and positioning of components before welding. Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and welding procedures. Set up and operate GMAW and FCAW welding equipment in accordance with applicable WPS requirements. Prepare, fit, tack, and weld components to specified dimensions and requirements. Maintain proper weld profiles, dimensions, and overall workmanship. Visually inspect completed welds and make necessary corrections. Follow ASME code, quality-control, and shop safety requirements. ASME Vessel Welder
  • Required Qualifications Minimum 3 years of experience welding pressure vessels in an ASME code shop .
Strong background in pressure-vessel or pressure-retaining fabrication. Ability to perform basic fitting and accurately align components before welding. Ability to read and understand blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and WPS requirements. Must have your own basic welding and fitting hand tools.   • Required Weld Qualification Candidates must be capable of successfully passing a 6G weld qualification test consisting of: 2" NPS pipe Schedule 80 0.625" wall thickness GMAW root FCAW cap and cover Candidates who are unable to successfully complete the required weld qualification will not be considered.   • Compensation & Schedule $28
