Job Description

ASME Vessel Welder Pay:
$28-$32/hour, plus Weld Bonuses! (Top performers make $100k+) We are seeking an experienced ASME Vessel Welder to join a busy industrial fabrication shop. This position will focus on the fabrication of small pressure vessels , with an emphasis on high-quality fillet welding, nozzle installation, basic fitting, and code-compliant workmanship. Job Duties Weld small pressure vessels in an ASME code fabrication environment. Perform primarily fillet welds on vessel assemblies. Weld and install approximately one nozzle per vessel . Perform basic fitting and alignment of vessel components prior to welding. Read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and welding procedures. Set up and operate GMAW and FCAW welding equipment according to applicable WPS requirements. Prepare, fit, tack, and weld components to required specifications. Maintain proper weld profiles, dimensions, and overall workmanship. Inspect work visually and correct weld defects as necessary. Follow applicable ASME, quality-control, and shop safety requirements. Required Qualifications 3+ years of experience welding pressure vessels in an ASME code shop. Strong experience with pressure-vessel or pressure-retaining fabrication. Ability to perform basic fitting and accurately align components before welding. Ability to read and understand blueprints, fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and WPS requirements. Must have your own basic welding/fitting hand tools . Strong understanding of weld quality and code-shop requirements. Dependable and able to maintain consistent production and quality standards. Required Weld Qualification Candidates must be capable of passing a 6G qualification test on: 2" NPS pipe 0.625" wall thickness Schedule 80 GMAW root FCAW cap and cover Candidates who cannot successfully complete the required weld qualification will not be considered. Compensation $28-$32/hour plus Bonuses , depending on experience and weld test results Full-time shop position Steady production work Opportunity to work in an established ASME pressure-vessel fabrication environment
Pay:
$28.00 - $32.00 per hour Expected hours: No less than 50.0 per week
