• Job Title: Welder and Fabricator
• Job Description
• This role is based in a specialized data farm department where you help create the materials used to train proprietary AI welding software and robotic weld cells.

You will tack-weld steel coupons and use CNC equipment to produce parts that directly support the development of advanced welding automation. Prior welding experience is not required, as you will receive comprehensive training to perform the work safely and effectively.

• Responsibilities
• + Tack-weld steel coupons according to established procedures to support training of proprietary AI welding software.

+ Operate CNC saws and CNC tooling stations to cut and prepare steel coupons and related parts.

+ Perform basic fabrication tasks, including layout, fitting, and assembly of parts as needed for production.

+ Assist in the creation and preparation of materials used to train welding robots and automated weld cells.

+ Follow blueprints and production drawings to ensure accurate dimensions and proper fit of components.

+ Work within a manufacturing data farm department, supporting production goals and workflow across multiple bays.

+ Inspect workpieces for quality, accuracy, and consistency, and make adjustments to meet specifications.

+ Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols and equipment operating procedures.

+ Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets and support continuous improvement.

+ Learn and apply new fabrication and welding techniques over time to support expansion into additional bays and product lines.

• Essential Skills
• + At least 6 months of production experience in a manufacturing environment.

+ Minimum 6 months of welding experience, including tack-welding or similar processes.

+ At least 6 months of experience assembling parts in a production or fabrication setting.

+ At least 6 months of experience in manufacturing, fabrication, blueprint reading, fitting, or CNC operations.

+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and production drawings accurately.

+ Experience performing fabrication tasks such as layout and fitting of parts.

+ Experience operating robotic welders in a production or manufacturing environment.

+ Comfort working with CNC saws and CNC tooling stations or similar automated equipment.

+ Strong attention to detail and ability to follow standardized procedures and quality requirements.

+ Ability to work safely and effectively in a busy manufacturing environment.

• Additional Skills & Qualifications
• + Previous experience in a data-driven or automated manufacturing environment is an asset.

+ Familiarity with weld cell building or supporting robotic weld cell operations is beneficial.

+ Willingness to learn new welding and fabrication techniques through on-the-job training.

+ Ability to adapt to evolving processes and technologies as the department expands.

+ Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a production team.

+ Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving work processes.

+ Interest in advanced manufacturing, automation, and AI-driven production systems.

You will spend most of your time in the data farm area, using CNC saws, CNC tooling stations, welding equipment, and robotic welders to support ongoing production and training of AI-driven welding systems.

• This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Columbus, OH.
• Pay and Benefits
• The pay range for this position is $21.

00 - $27.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
