Stator Iron Assembly - 1st Shift Dayton-Phoenix Group, Inc. - 4.1 Dayton, OH Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Inspection gauge Mechanical blueprint interpretation Measuring tapes Hand trucks Welders (tool) Forklift Personal protective equipment (PPE) adherence Shop math Electrical system testing Dimensional measurements Safety equipment Assembly drawings Hand tools Material handling equipment operation Electronic equipment testing Full Job Description The position of Stator Iron Assembly will include but is not limited to: Stator iron assembly, single torch weld - iron, welding to pole piece (hyd) presses, and iron grind and inspect. Essential qualifications for this position include: Experience with and proficient ability to use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, go/no-go gages and electrical testing equipment. Must have basic math skills - adding/subtracting/angles/fractions/etc. Must comprehend and use assembly prints and tolerances Pass welding tests as required Wear welding helmet, vest, and gloves Ability to operate a hand truck and forklift Non-Essential qualifications for this position include: Able to lift, push or pull up to 40 lbs. Able to operate an overhead crane. Ability to move materials within the department Able to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and arms. Able to use hand tools and other equipment as required. Ability to work on feet and must be able to work with hands Is safety oriented, follows shop rules.
