Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Welder/Fabricator/Fitter to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and products, supporting our commitment to excellence and innovation. Duties Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to accurately guide welding and assembly processes Perform various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards Measure and mark materials using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise cuts and welds Operate power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment for cutting, shaping, and preparing metal materials such as sheet metal and structural components Fabricate metal parts by cutting, bending, assembling, and welding sheet metal and other metal materials following safety protocols at all times Use hand tools and power tools efficiently for assembly, fitting, grinding, and finishing welded components Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly of parts on construction sites or in the shop environment Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety procedures, inspecting equipment regularly, and following all safety protocols during welding and fabrication tasks Experience Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of structural steel or metal fabrication projects Hands-on experience with various welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding Familiarity with blueprint reading, technical drawing interpretation, shop math, and measurement instruments such as calipers and micrometers Knowledge of mechanical fabrication processes including machining, plasma cutting, assembly, and sheet metal fabrication Experience working in a fabrication shop environment with adherence to safety standards aligned with AWS guidelines Ability to operate power tools safely while maintaining precision in measuring and fitting components Mechanical knowledge related to metal materials selection, welding procedures specific to welding standards, and understanding of safety protocols in industrial settings Join our team if you're eager to bring your welding expertise into a collaborative environment where craftsmanship meets innovation.
