Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Welder to join our dynamic fabrication and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing precise welding operations across various projects, including pipefitting, pipe welding, sprinkler systems, and structural fabrication. Your expertise will ensure that all welds meet industry standards and safety regulations, contributing to the successful completion of construction, manufacturing, and maintenance projects. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding, FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), Stick welding, TIG welding, and Soldering on diverse materials such as steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings to determine welding specifications and procedures. Execute pipe threading, pipe fitting, pipe installation, and pipe welding tasks in accordance with ASME codes & standards and NFPA standards for fire sprinkler fitting systems. Fabricate metal components using hand tools, power tools, calipers, and other mechanical devices while adhering to safety protocols. Measure materials precisely using calipers and perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate fabrication and assembly. Maintain strict adherence to safety regulations during all operations by following safety protocol guidelines and power tool safety practices. Assist with rigging, tube bending, pipe bending, and assembly tasks on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. Support maintenance activities by repairing or replacing piping systems in HVAC or plumbing applications following schematics and technical instructions. Skills Proficiency in MIG welding, FCAW, Stick welding, TIG welding, and soldering techniques with a strong understanding of their appropriate applications. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and technical drawings accurately. Mechanical knowledge of piping systems, fabrication processes, pipefitting procedures, and construction site safety standards. Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches, grinders, calipers, as well as power tools including drills and saws safely and effectively. Experience with pipe threading machines, tube bending equipment, rigging hardware, and pipe installation methods. Familiarity with industry codes & standards such as ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) guidelines for pressure vessels and pipelines. Knowledge of NFPA (National Fire Protection Association) standards related to fire sprinkler systems installation and maintenance. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise fabrication and assembly work in manufacturing or construction environments. Strong understanding of safety regulations applicable to welding operations on construction sites or manufacturing facilities. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tolerances or material quantities.
