Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking highly skilled TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas) welders to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise welding operations on various metal materials, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship that adheres to industry standards. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in metal fabrication, interpret technical drawings accurately, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to complex projects that require expert welding techniques and mechanical knowledge. Responsibilities Execute TIG welding on diverse metal components, including sheet metal and structural parts, following detailed blueprints and technical drawings. Interpret mechanical blueprints and fabrication shop drawings to determine welding specifications and procedures. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to ensure precise dimensions and tolerances. Operate power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment to prepare materials for welding and fabrication. Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to strict safety protocols and handling tools responsibly. Collaborate with team members during assembly, fabrication, and installation processes to meet project deadlines. Inspect completed welds using calipers, measuring instruments, and visual checks to verify quality against AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Support fabrication shop activities by cutting, fitting, and assembling metal parts with accuracy. Follow all safety guidelines related to welding gases, shielding techniques, and equipment operation. Assist in troubleshooting welding issues and adjusting techniques as needed for optimal results. Requirements Proven experience as a TIG welder with a strong background in metal fabrication, sheet metal work, and structural welding. Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical diagrams. Knowledge of various welding techniques including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), MIG (Metal Inert Gas), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), Stick welding, and gas metal arc welding. Familiarity with construction site environments and safety protocols related to welding operations. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and measuring instruments accurately. Mechanical knowledge of fabrication processes including assembly, machining, plasma cutting, and sheet metal fabrication. Understanding of AWS standards for quality assurance in welding practices. Strong shop math skills for measurements and calculations necessary during fabrication. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on precision workmanship. Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced environments while maintaining safety standards.
