Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking skilled TIG welders to join our manufacturing team on the first shift. In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise tungsten inert gas (TIG) welding to assemble and fabricate metal components according to detailed blueprints and technical specifications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of metal fabrication processes, safety protocols, and quality standards, ensuring the production of high-quality welded structures. This position offers an excellent opportunity for experienced welders to contribute to complex projects in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities Execute TIG welding on various metal materials, including sheet metal and structural components, adhering strictly to American Welding Society (AWS) standards. Interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine welding requirements. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to ensure precise dimensions and fit-up. Operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment safely and effectively during fabrication processes. Prepare materials by cleaning, cutting, and positioning parts for welding and assembly. Follow safety protocols rigorously to maintain a safe working environment and prevent accidents. Conduct quality inspections using measuring instruments to verify weld integrity and dimensional accuracy. Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks and fabrication shop projects to meet production deadlines. Maintain equipment in proper working order through routine checks and troubleshooting as needed. Document work progress accurately and communicate any issues or deviations promptly. Skills Extensive experience with TIG welding, MIG welding, shielded metal arc welding (SMAW), and FCAW processes. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, mechanical blueprint interpretation, and interpreting technical drawings. Proficiency with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication. Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication, mechanical fabrication, and metal materials handling. Ability to operate power tools, hand tools, plasma cutters, machining equipment, and gas metal arc welding (GMAW). Understanding of safety protocols related to welding operations and fabrication environments. Mechanical knowledge of assembly processes and mechanical blueprint interpretation. Experience with fabrication shop environments involving metal fabrication and machining tasks. Knowledge of AWS standards for welding quality assurance. Basic math skills necessary for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks. If you are a dedicated professional with a passion for precision welding and metal fabrication, we encourage you to apply. Join our team on the first shift to contribute your expertise in a fast-paced manufacturing setting committed to quality excellence.
