Job Description

A Welder/Fabricator is needed for our Fairfield, OH facility. The Fabricator reports to our Fabrication Supervisor and works closely with our engineering and design teams by fabricating, welding and assembling components and assemblies. This is a contract to hire position. Key Responsibilities:
Work according to precision requirements identified on drawings within tight tolerances. Follow company standards to meet Aerospace requirements Plan sequence of operation, lay out work, and use precision measuring devices to perform work to specified, tight tolerances. Read drawings utilizing Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T). Layout, measure, cut, fit, machine and weld materials to create the desired assembly. Mechanical assembly, including torquing fasteners, bending tube runs, swaging fittings. Tig welding Stainless, Carbon, Aluminum etc... (Must be able to pass weld test(s)). Pre-employment Tig 6G stainless pipe test and Tig 3G vertical up Aluminum plate. Ability to read weld symbols and follow weld procedures.
Job Requirements:
This position consists of approximately 50% welding, 50% assembly/prep Ability to interpret engineering drawings. Follow company processes to complete fabrications. Ability to hold tight tolerances on weldments / fabrications. Pipe welding Capable of utilizing vertical mill, horizontal lathe, band saw, drill press, and a variety of hand tools. Strong math and mechanical aptitude. Knowledge of industry safe practices. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively. Ability to work as a team member or individually. Ability to manage multiple tasks. Minimum of two years' experience welding, fabrication and assembly or recent graduate from a welding program with a mechanical background. Ability to lift and move heavy objects, up to 75 lbs
