Job Description
L ooking for Fitter/Welder on 1st shift and 2nd
Shift Pay:
$22-26/hr, depending on experienceHours:
7AM-3:30PMMON-FRI OR 4
15PM-2:45AM, Mon-Fri Fit, align, tack, and weld metal components into finished assemblies using blueprints, shop math, and fabrication equipment. Job Requirements High school diploma or equivalent Manufacturing background with hands-on welding and fitting experience Strong blueprint reading skills Proficiency in shop math Technical knowledge of welding procedures, materials, and equipment Ability to stand for extended periods Ability to lift up to 50 pounds Ability to measure and verify completed assemblies to specification Experience using fabrication tools and material handling equipment Preferred Skills Experience with MIG welding Experience with TIG welding Experience fitting and tack-welding components before final weld Experience troubleshooting assembly and fit-up issues Experience operating grinders, torches, and related fabrication equipment Experience maintaining welding supply inventory Job Responsibilities Study assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and material lists before starting each job Lay out parts and subassemblies using accurate measurements Position, align, and secure metal parts prior to welding Fit and tack-weld components to ensure proper alignment before final welding Perform MIG, TIG, and other welding procedures as required Measure completed assemblies to verify conformance to specifications Troubleshoot assembly issues and coordinate with supervisors on resource needs or dimension adjustments Operate fabrication tools such as grinders and torches, as well as material handling equipment Maintain welding supplies inventory and communicate anticipated supply needs to supervisors Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term disability insurance, additional voluntary benefits, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
