Job Description
Ohio Truck Equipment is a division of Robertson Truck Sales, a family owned and operated business since 1984 specializing in industry specific techniques in the upfitting of medium and heavy-duty trucks. Our company is growing and is currently searching for an experienced Truck Upfitter / Equipment Installer! Ohio Truck Equipment has the capability to fabricate and assemble trucks to facilitate upfitting of our vast product line for virtually any industry.

Truck Upfitter -Welder/Fabricator Location:
Mount Vernon, OH 43050Schedule:
Full Time, Monday through Thursday 6:30am - 5:00pm, optional overtime available onFridays Responsibilities:
Modification and installation of medium to heavy-duty truck bodies (flatbeds, dump bodies, service bodies) and equipment ensuring quality craftsmanship and adhering to safety standards. Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, schematics, wiring diagrams, locations of cutting lines, dimensions, tolerances and material requirements to complete job tasks according to the product specifications. Lengthening and shortening of truck frames. Install and align specified drilling. Set up and weld components. Repair equipment and other components by welding. Install PTO and hydraulic systems and troubleshoot hydraulic issues. Wire 12V lights and controls and troubleshoot electrical issues. Test and inspect welded surfaces and structures to discover flaws. Accurately record inventory used on job tasks.Qualifications:
3 years of equipment installation / welding / fabrication experience is preferred. Basic fabrication skills (cutting, grinding, drilling, welding). General knowledge of vehicle electrical systems, hydraulics and mechanical components. At least 5 years of experience using hand and power tools, preferably in automotive applications. Ability to read and understand blueprints and manuals, work with computer, machines and cranes. Must have a valid driver license. High school diploma or equivalent required. Possess a positive work attitude and willingness to work with fellow team members. Ability to follow directions. Must be detail oriented. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, 100 pounds assisted. Must be willing to supply necessary tools. Possess a commitment to safety and company safety policies.
