Job Description

Welder (Confidential Manufacturing Organization) Position Overview A growing precision manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Welder to join its production team. This position is responsible for performing high-quality welding on precision components used in demanding industrial applications while maintaining strict quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate has experience with multiple welding processes, can interpret technical drawings and welding procedures, and takes pride in producing quality workmanship in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform welding operations in accordance with established procedures, work instructions, and quality standards Complete welding assignments using approved welding procedures and applicable industry specifications Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, welding symbols, and fabrication documentation Perform welding using a variety of processes, including: Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW/TIG) Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW/Stick) Flux-Cored Arc Welding (FCAW) Plasma Arc Welding (PAW) Semi-automatic welding processes, as required Weld components ranging from thin-gauge material to heavy sections while maintaining dimensional accuracy and weld integrity Inspect completed welds to verify compliance with quality and workmanship requirements Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all company safety policies Collaborate with supervisors and production personnel to meet manufacturing schedules and quality expectations Perform additional production-related duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum of 3-5 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment Experience welding a variety of materials, including carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, nickel-based alloys, copper alloys, aluminum alloys, and other specialty metals Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding procedures, and technical documentation Strong understanding of welding symbols, fabrication techniques, and quality requirements Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively both independently and within a team Flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Preferred Qualifications MSSC Certified Production Technician (CPT) certification or equivalent vocational certification Experience working to industry, military, or other highly regulated welding standards Multiple welding process certifications are considered an asset Work Environment Manufacturing and fabrication shop environment Requires standing for extended periods and working with welding equipment and PPE May involve lifting materials, handling fabricated components, and working in varying production conditions Additional Information Qualified candidates may be required to successfully complete a practical welding assessment or weld qualification test as part of the hiring process. #FMD2026
Pay:
$27.65 - $38.29 per hour
