Responsibilities Fabricate masks for limited and directional applied paints and adhesives. Use of intricate tooling including files, jeweler saws/torches, pencil grinders. Setup and operate hand tools, pneumatic grinders/dremel, band saws, and other machining equipment to produce complex metal components with tight tolerances. Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics to apply to workpiece. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, dial indicators, and other measurement instruments to verify part quality during and after machining processes. Assemble machined components into finished tools or masks with attention to detail and adherence to safety standards. Skills Tig welding 18 and 16ga sheet metal Steel, stainless, aluminum sheet metal fabrication Hydraulic/manual brake and shear Fabrication lay out for drilling and tapping holes using hand drill and drill press. General knowledge of metal machining techniques including grinding, welding, and manual machining methods. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and gauges for quality assurance. Mechanical knowledge combined with experience in toolroom environments focused on manufacturing tooling and mask fabrication.
