About Us MK Welding & Fabrication is a family-owned and operated job shop located in downtown Waynesville, OH. Since 1989, we've worked with customers across a variety of industries—including power plants, steel mills and general manufacturing—to provide high-quality custom welding and fabrication work. What Makes Us Different As a custom job shop, we don't mass-produce the same parts every day. Our team works on a wide variety of projects ranging from smaller custom components and repairs to piping systems, pump skids and large heavy-plate weldments. You might be running flux-core on a heavy plate weldment one week and TIG welding stainless pipe for a pump skid the next. For an experienced fabricator who enjoys variety, problem-solving and seeing a project come together from a shop drawing to a finished product, MK offers the opportunity to use a broad range of skills. Position Overview We're looking to add a full-time Welder/Fabricators to our team. The ideal candidate has a strong fabrication background and is comfortable working from shop drawings, performing layout and fit-up, and completing quality welds using multiple processes. Pay is based on experience, skill level and demonstrated ability. Experienced fabricators who can work independently and take ownership of jobs will be compensated accordingly. Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings and welding symbols Perform layout, fit-up and setup of weldments Weld using Stick, MIG, Flux-Core and TIG Fabricate carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum Operate common fabrication equipment and hand tools Maintain high standards of quality and safety Work independently and as part of our small team Problem-solve and adapt to different fabrication projects Experience & Qualifications 5+ years of welding/fabrication experience preferred Ability to fabricate independently from shop drawings Strong layout and fit-up skills Experience with multiple welding processes preferred AWS certifications preferred, but not required Qualified applicants will complete an in-person fabrication/weld test as part of the interview process.
