Job Description

Summary of Responsibilities:
This position will measure, cut and assemble materials in a safe, orderly manner for production output.
Specific Duties:
Ability to perform this work proficiently at a fast pace Reading and understanding blueprints/job specifications Measuring and cutting material to specifications Welding materials using the correct materials to join the metals together. Checking finished work to make sure that it falls within the tolerances Selecting, measuring, cutting and joining appropriate metals to specifications Preparing metals and work surfaces to ensure safe and effective assemblage Regularly cleaning and inspecting welding equipment and tools Observes all safety rules and regulations and keeps work area clean and orderly. Understanding of required PPE (how to select and why it is required) Exhibit proper donning of PPE daily Report safety hazards to supervision/mgt. Attend monthly all shop meetings
Job Requirements:
Reliable/Dependable 3G Fluxcore certification or qualification Ability to perform manual labor Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to perform work proficiently at a fast pace Open minded and willing to learn company process. Ability to read blueprints Ability to follow instructions provided by supervisor Knowledge of manual and mechanical welding techniques The ability to lift 70 lbs.
