We are currently recruiting for Class A Fitter/Welders to join our team in Collinsville, OK on 1st shift . Our commitment to quality and innovation makes Victory Energy the right choice for your career!
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in pre- and post-planned readiness of parts and tools, for planned fit up activities. Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools and able to use various hand tools (POWERED
AND MANUAL
). Follow ASME code requirements on all applicable job tasks, (including but not limited to ability to distinguish between fillet welds, J-Groove weld, back gouging, etc.) Weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions utilizing the appropriate welding technique, FCAW, GMAW, and GTAW. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, work orders and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly and welding operations. Set up and use ladders, scaffolding and other temporary equipment as necessary in accordance with safety protocols. Work effectively in a team-based environment while maintaining safety standards including proper utilization of all require PPE and following related safety procedures.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of fitting/welding experience in a manufacturing environment or an equivalent combination of training, experience and skill proficiency. Must pass a 3G plate test with MIG/Flux-core on plate and 6G TIG on 2 1/2" pipe to ASME code standards. Proficient with interpreting engineering drawings, specs and blueprints. Ability to follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to read/interpret measuring tape. Ability to work overtime as needed.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Be able to stand 10 or more hours per day and operate welding equipment. Position requires standing or walking most of the workday and frequently involves stooping and kneeling. Sufficient visual acuity and depth perception to complete job tasks. Manual dexterity such as reaching, handling, fingering and touching to effectively handle material and operate welding equipment safely. Able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial boiler manufacturing and apply appropriate safety equipment when required. Be able to lift / maneuver 75lbs unassisted using proper safety techniques and/or equipment. Selected candidates must successfully clear all pre-employment screenings.
