$26-$34/hr
Class A Welder Job Description:
Responsibilities include welding in accordance with ASME Code requirements; maintaining welding equipment, tools and supplies in safe working order; work effectively in a team-based environment while maintaining safety standards including proper utilization of all required PPE and following related safety procedures. Participate in pre and post planned readiness of parts and tools, for planned fit up and welding activities. If applicable, the job scope to encompass welding in the following process if directed by departmental supervisor (FCAW, GMAW, GTAW). Complete understanding of ASME code requirements. Read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings to determine welding specifications. Read/interpret measuring devices (e.g., measuring tape). Operate and maintain welding equipment and tools and able to use various hand tools (POWERED
AND MANUAL
). Help to train Class B and Class C fitters/welders. Ability to work overtime/weekends as needed.
Class A Welder Skills:
(5) years of manufacturing experience in fitting/welding and/or sub-arc related functions. Complete 3G/6G test. Sub-Arc complete 6g and Sub-Arc test. Gouging experience is a plus.
