Job Description
We are currently recruiting for Class B fitter/ Welders to join our team in
COLLINSVILLE, OK

Weld in accordance with ASME Code requirements. Maintain welding equipment, tools and supplies in safe working order. Work effectively in a team based environment while maintaining safety standards including proper utilization of all require PPE and following related safety procedure Must pass a 3g plate test in Mig/Fluxcore on plate.ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Under supervision, assist in the planned daily activities.
- Participate in pre/post-planned readiness of parts and tools, for planned fit up or welding activities.
- Complete understanding of departmental operating procedures as well as job task procedures.
- Understanding and compliance of ASME code if applicable to job task (
EX:
PREHEATING OF DRUM COMPONENTS
).- If Fitter, may train and lead 'C' FITTERS and Helpers with routine departmental activities.
- If Welder, may train and lead 'C' WELDERS and Helpers with routine departmental activities.
- If applicable, job scope to encompass welding in the following processes if directed by departmental foreman (FCAW,GMAW).
- Developing a proficiency in blueprint interpretation.
- Participate in Operational Excellence teams.
- Responsible for quality and continuous improvement within job scope.
ESSENTIAL FITTER JOB QUALIFICATIONS
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions .
- Four (4) years of manufacturing experience (minimum of 2 years fitting experience).
- Mathematically inclined.
- Ability to interpret and utilize measuring devices.
- Able to attend training courses as assigned.
- Ability to work any shift.
- Must have the ability to read any and all blueprints.
- Must have the ability to work with no supervision.
- Must be able to weld in a minimum of one welding process mig, stick, flux, or tig.
ESSENTIAL WELDER JOB QUALIFICATION
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions .
- Minimum of One and half (1 ½ ) years' experience in the welding field.
- Mathematically inclined.
- Ability to interpret and utilize measuring devices.
- Able to attend training courses as assigned.
- Ability to work any shift.
- Must have the ability to read and interpret weld symbols.
- Must have the ability to do any and all weld repairs in any of two (2) processes.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO
Must have physical stamina to stand 8 or more hours per day and operate welding equipment. Position requires standing or walking most of the workday and frequently involves stooping and kneeling. Must possess sufficient visual acuity and depth perception to complete job tasks. Must possess manual dexterity such as reaching, handling, fingering and touching to effectively handle material and operate welding equipment safely. Must be able to tolerate shop environment and exposures associated with welding and industrial boiler manufacturing, and apply appropriate safety equipment when required. Must be able to lift / maneuver 50lbs unassisted using proper safety techniques and/or equipmentGENERAL SKILL REQUIREMENTS
