Join our team:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced TIG Welder with a minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in a variety of various weld preparation tasks, to manufacture products in accordance with customer drawings, specifications, and established guidelines. Experience with thin metal welding (Thinner than .060") is a must. This is an on-site, full-time role scheduled Monday through Friday, 6:30am to 3:00pm with occasional opportunities for overtime as needed.What you will do:
- Perform TIG welding on various metals under a regular daily routine with direct daily supervision and goals
- Read and interpret blueprints, customer drawings, specifications, and established guidelines
- Handling fixturing and welding machine set up within parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
- Conduct equipment maintenance
- Inspect finished work to ensure quality and adjust as needed
- Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines
- Perform physical inventory when required
- Fill out and maintain work orders and paperwork
- Follow all safety requirements, wear PPE, inspections, and safe lifting procedures
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a TIG welder
- Must be able to demonstrate ability to weld in all positions
- Must demonstrate the ability to pass ASME Sec IX weld test
- Proficient in assigned GTAW welding techniques with thin materials
- Knowledge of different required filler materials for different applications
- Be capable of identifying and resolving problems in a timely manner
- Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive and negative situations
- Ability to efficiently prioritize and plan work activities and develop realistic action plans
- Capable of adapting to changes in the work environment with competing demands and unexpected task assignments
- Experience working with hand tools, power tools, shop equipment, and grinders
- Use of conventional and precision measuring instruments
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to read, write, and speak English
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- A plus, not required: Welding certifications, SMAW welding experience Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Frequent standing, bending, lifting, moving, reaching
- Ability to work in a warehouse environment with changes in temperature, heat, noise, and metal materials
