Job Responsibilities:
Layout, welding and fabrication of metal parts Using a variety of welding techniques including the use of oxyacetylene gas torches, MIG/GMAW welding, and plasma cutting Operate a variety of fabrication equipment including but not limited to welders, grinders, presses, and other related equipment Perform basic math calculations to ensure parts meet specifications Work with other departments to ensure the proper completion of projects Other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to read blueprints and drawings (CAD) Ability to follow welding processes (e.g., start-up, shut-down, process flow) and make adjustments as needed during welding to ensure accurate completion of a project Ability to use various welding techniques including but not limited to burnishing, grinding, arc welding, plasma cutting, and the use of oxyacetylene gas torches Ability to perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate completion of projects and ensure that parts meet specifications Must be able to work independently with little supervision or work in a team environment with other departments as needed. Must be able to follow processes from start-up through completion with little supervision.
