Solid Fab Works About Solid Fab Works Solid Fab Works is a growing fabrication and manufacturing company located in Redmond, Oregon. We design and build a wide variety of products ranging from commercial and structural fabrication to custom equipment, production components, handrails, and specialty fabricated products. Our shop works with steel, stainless steel, and aluminum and utilizes modern fabrication equipment and CAD-driven manufacturing processes. We are looking for skilled, motivated people who want to grow with the company and take pride in producing high-quality work. Position Overview We are looking for an experienced Fabricator / Welder to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in metal fabrication, can work independently from drawings and blueprints, and is comfortable taking a project from raw material through completed fabrication. Experience with TIG and MIG welding is important. Experience operating waterjets, press brakes, plasma cutting equipment, or other fabrication machinery is a major plus. This position requires attention to detail, good problem-solving skills, and the ability to consistently fabricate components to specified dimensions and tolerances. Responsibilities Read and interpret fabrication drawings, blueprints, and CAD drawings. Fabricate components and assemblies accurately to specified dimensions and tolerances. Perform MIG and TIG welding on steel, stainless steel, and aluminum as required. Measure accurately using tape measures and other common fabrication measuring tools. Comfortably work with fractions, decimals, and basic shop math. Safely operate fabrication equipment including welders, grinders, drill presses, saws, plasma cutters, torches, forklifts, and related shop equipment. Set up and use fabrication fixtures and jigs. Follow CAD drawings, hand drawings, written instructions, and verbal instructions. Inspect completed parts and welds for dimensional accuracy, fit, finish, and overall quality. Troubleshoot fabrication and fitment issues as they arise. Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work area. Work effectively both independently and as part of a team. Preferred Experience Experience in any of the following is beneficial: MIG welding TIG welding Aluminum fabrication and welding Stainless steel fabrication and welding Structural steel fabrication 1G, 2F, 2G, 3G, and 4G welding positions CNC waterjet operation Press brake operation Plasma cutting Blueprint and fabrication drawing interpretation Forklift operation Precision measuring and inspection General machining or CNC equipment What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who: Takes pride in producing accurate, high-quality work.
