Description:

Welder/Fabricator Up to $30/hr DOE Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a growing manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong MIG and Dual Shield welding experience who enjoys hands-on fabrication work, reading blueprints, and producing high-quality welds in a fast-paced production environment. Candidates should be comfortable working with thick steel materials, operating fabrication equipment, and maintaining high safety and quality standards. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols. Perform MIG and Dual Shield welding on mild steel and heavy-gauge materials up to 3" thick. Set up and operate welding equipment to produce quality welds that meet specifications. Complete fitting, fabrication, and assembly of steel components. Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring equipment to support production. Safely operate overhead cranes and material-handling equipment. Inspect finished welds and assemblies to ensure quality standards are met. Perform basic equipment maintenance and assist with troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. Work closely with team members to meet production schedules and customer requirements. Follow all company safety policies and PPE requirements. Successfully pass a hands-on weld test. Required Qualifications 2+ years of professional MIG and Dual Shield welding experience. Experience welding thick steel materials in a manufacturing or production environment. Ability to read blueprints, weld symbols, and fabrication drawings. Strong fitting and fabrication skills. Experience using common fabrication tools and shop equipment. Ability to safely operate overhead cranes. Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and basic mechanical troubleshooting. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to pass a welding assessment. Preferred Qualifications Welding certifications or ability to obtain certifications. Previous experience in heavy industrial, manufacturing, or steel fabrication environments. Strong measuring and shop math skills. Reliable attendance and a solid work ethic. Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Employees will regularly work around heavy steel components, welding equipment, cranes, and fabrication tools. The facility emphasizes safety, teamwork, quality craftsmanship, and continuous improvement. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sherwood, OR. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $30.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
