Job Description

Overview We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic fabrication team. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming metal materials into high-quality components and assemblies, adhering to precise specifications and safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of construction projects, fabrication shop tasks, and custom metalwork. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Use measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math to ensure accurate dimensions during fabrication. Operate various welding techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components using hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and sheet metal fabrication equipment. Cut, shape, assemble, and weld metal materials such as sheet metal, pipe, and structural steel with precision. Maintain a safe work environment by following all safety protocols related to construction site activities and fabrication processes. Interpret technical drawings accurately for proper assembly and fabrication of metal structures or parts. Perform pipe threading, assembly, and welding tasks for piping systems as needed on various projects. Ensure quality control by inspecting completed work with calipers, micrometers, and measuring instruments to meet project specifications. Experience Proven construction site experience with a strong understanding of safety procedures and site protocols. Hands-on fabrication shop experience working with metal materials in a manufacturing or construction environment. Skilled in multiple welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Familiarity with blueprint reading and mechanical blueprint interpretation for complex projects. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, pipe threading equipment, and measuring instruments effectively. Knowledge of shop math principles necessary for accurate measurements and calculations during fabrication tasks. Mechanical knowledge relevant to interpreting technical drawings and assembling fabricated components accurately. Join our team today if you're passionate about metal fabrication and welding! Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
