Buckhorn Ridge is looking for an experienced part-time Welder / Fabricator to help with ongoing welding and fabrication work at our location in Bloomsburg, 17815, approximately 4 miles from the I-80 exit for Rt 11. This is a great opportunity for an experienced welder looking to earn additional income without committing to a traditional fixed schedule. You choose the days you work. Most available work will be during afternoons, evenings and weekends, but we can work around your availability. All welding equipment, tools, and materials are provided on site. You do not need to bring your own equipment. You will be required to bring your own PPE (ie Helmut, Gloves, etc). What We're Looking For To be considered, you should have hands-on experience with: MIG welding aluminum Stick welding aluminum MIG welding mild steel Stick welding mild steel Metal fabrication, brackets and filler plates Reading measurements and laying out fabrication work Cutting, fitting, assembling, and finishing fabricated components Producing clean, structurally sound welds Working safely and independently This is not an entry-level welding position. We're looking for someone who already knows how to weld and fabricate and can complete assigned work with limited supervision. Certification Welding certifications are preferred, but not required . If you have strong hands-on welding and fabrication experience but aren't currently certified, we still want to hear from you. Why This Position Is Different Flexible schedule: There is no fixed Monday-Friday schedule. Choose the days that work for you based on the work available.

Competitive pay:

$21-32 /hour depending on your welding ability, fabrication experience, certifications, and overall skill level.

Welders, fabrication equipment, tools, consumables, and anything else required to complete the work are provided.

Work is performed at our Bloomsburg location, approximately 4 miles from the I-80 exit. Responsibilities Depending on the project, you may be responsible for: MIG and stick welding aluminum MIG and stick welding mild steel Fabricating and assembling metal components Measuring, cutting, fitting, and preparing materials Repair and modification work Grinding and finishing completed work Following drawings, measurements, or project specifications Inspecting your work for fit and weld quality Maintaining a clean and safe work area Properly using and caring for welding and fabrication equipment

Qualifications Required:

Previous hands-on welding experience Experience MIG welding Experience stick welding Experience welding both aluminum and mild steel Fabrication experience Ability to measure, fit, and assemble components accurately Ability to work safely and independently Reliable transportation to our Bloomsburg, PA location Dependability - if you commit to working a scheduled day, we need to be able to count on you Preferred, but not required: Welding certifications Professional shop or field welding experience Strong fabrication background Experience working from drawings or fabrication plans Experience with a range of welding and fabrication projects Pay $21-32 per hour Starting pay will be based on experience, welding ability, fabrication skills, and applicable certifications.
