Job Description
Perform skilled fitting, fabrication, and welding of industrial equipment, tanks, and pressure vessels in accordance with technical drawings, weld procedures, applicable ASME codes, and established quality and safety standards.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Maintain safety as top priority at all times.
- Maintain an organized, clean and safe work area at all times.
- Perform assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner.
- Operate and / or use related equipment and tools which include forklifts, hoists, slings, grinders (portable and bench), cutting torches, hand tools, drills, punches, a tape measure, a level, and any required fixtures.
- Grind or chip welded areas and / or attachment points to clean and remove slag, splatter, or excess weld.
- Perform and pass weld procedure tests as required by job specifications.
- Work from technical drawings to plan, layout and fit industrial equipment in the proper sequence.
- Layout and cut holes for nozzles and attachments.
- Perform test floor operations.
- Sandblasting and painting.
- Other duties and responsibilities may be added at the company's discretion.

QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION :
Technical schooling or apprenticeship preferred but not required.EXPERIENCE
: Prior experience manufacturing pressure vessels preferred but not required.SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to comprehend and communicate job specific information.
- Ability to read and interpret weld maps and weld travelers.
- Welding - Sub Arc, SMAW, FCAW, GTAW, FGW .
