Welding Operator Donora, PA 1 DAYS AGO 22443020 Summary Donora, PA $17.00 - $20.00 per Hour 1 Years Experience High school graduate or equivalency certificate (GED) No Commission 40.00 hours per week / Day, Evening, Night, Rotation Shift /Full-Time Description Apex International, the world's largest Anilox manufacturer, is expanding its Donora, PA facility, so we are currently looking for additional Lathe Operators. At Apex, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality products to our customers every single time. To ensure this process, the production team must possess certain qualifications, skills, and attitude. The welder will weld, cut, and braze metal pieces and products by using flame cutting, AST Machines and hand welding equipment. The position is a rotating shift of days, and evenings.

Essential Functions/Key Responsibilities:

Load and unload anilox rollers into the grinding machine safely. Plan details of work order procedures. Gather required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job. Repair and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment. Monitor the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage Notify supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered. Operate and use overhead cranes safely. Monitor machine for proper functionality. Responsible for keeping a clean and safe working environment.

Qualifications:

Understanding of welding machines/tools including design, uses, maintenance and repair. Understanding of metallurgy. Ability to weld components that are vertical, flat, or overhead. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. at a time and stand on your feet for extended periods of time. Basic understanding of design techniques, principles, and tools necessary for the precise production according to the specifications on blueprints. Ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms. Basic understanding of mathematics as related to welding assignments. Ability to review and understand mechanical blueprints.
