Weldments vary in type, size, and direction and are performed across a variety of production lines.
Responsibilities include:
Operate welding equipment to assemble and weld metal components Primarily perform MIG welding Weld components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions Adjust welding current to achieve proper weld configurations Heat and form metal parts using hand tools, torches, and welding equipment Accurately read and use measuring devices Properly position materials and parts for welding Operate an overhead crane to safely maneuver parts into position Read and follow verbal and written work instructions, including blueprints Maintain attention to detail and meet quality standards Train and work in various areas of production based on production needs Maintain a safe and clean work environment Work effectively both independently and as part of a team Maintain regular attendance Successfully complete the required Welder Qualification Test and recertify skills as required Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications Required:
6+ months of welding experience through education or work experience Ability to successfully complete the Welder Qualification Test Ability to read and follow work instructions and blueprints Basic ability to use measuring devices
