$1,000 New-Hire Retention Bonus Calgon Carbon | A Kuraray Company Why This Role Stands Out If you're an experienced welder who takes pride in code-quality welds, pressure vessels, and complex fabrication, this role offers work that challenges your skill—not repetitive production welding. At Calgon Carbon, our welders fabricate large ASME pressure vessels and piping systems that support critical air and water purification solutions used around the world. What You'll Be Doing Perform ASME code welding on pressure vessels, piping, and structural componentsWeld using FCAW, GTAW, GMAW, SMAW, and SAWWork with carbon steel, stainless steel, and nickel-based alloysRead and interpret engineering drawings and weld proceduresComplete ASME weld logs and quality documentationPass non-destructive testing (NDT) for pressure-retaining weldsUse overhead cranes, jib cranes, and forklifts safelyInspect and repair welds to meet code and quality standards This is hands-on, high-skill welding—not light fabrication or bench work. Weld Test & Certifications On-site weld test required as part of the interview processTest is aligned with ASME Section IX proceduresDesigned to reflect the actual work performed in the shop Prior ASME code welding experience requiredCompany-paid certification and recertification to CCC welding procedures We believe great welders should show their skill, not just talk about it. What We're Looking For 2+ years of experience welding pressure vessels or pipe (FCAW required)High school diploma or trade school certification (welding preferred)Ability to pass on-site weld qualification testingStrong attention to safety, quality, and documentation Schedule Rotating shift operation (details reviewed during the screening process)Overtime opportunities as business needs require Pay, Bonus & Benefits $29.79/hr. starting pay with structured wage progressionShift Differential:
