Duties

• Fit parts for welding plate, sheet, piping and other structural members.
• Use of power tools such as saws, drills, grinders, plasma cutter, pliers, and other hand tools.
• Read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Use of measuring devices such as calipers, micrometers, or feeler gauges.
• Measure parts to make them fit together correctly for welder.
• Cut and fit parts together using hand tools and machines.
• Clean and assemble parts by grinding and polishing them.
• Other duties as assigned by foreman or manager. Requirements
• Experienced fabricator capable of interrupting blueprints, technical information to drive projects from start to finish without support.
• Experience with metal fabrication.
• Experience with welding.
• Experience with using power tools such as saws, drills, grinders, plasma cutter, pliers.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 50 lbs. at a time. Must be able to bend over at waist level while working.
• Must be able to work in a shop environment.
