Operate equipment safely and use safe work habits. Ability to set up all Welding Machines and Fabrication Equipment. Select and install torches, torch tips, and filler rods, according to welding chart specifications or types and thicknesses of metals. Able to layout and fit up parts in a job shop environment. Ability to read drawings, blueprints and a tape measure to 1/16".
Qualifications/Skills/Abilities:
Prior experience in Mig, Tig, Stick, welding and fabricating. (Machining a plus) Certification in welding from Welding School preferred. Written and Physical Welding and General knowledge test will be given to ensure Qualifications. High attention to detail and must possess a great work ethics Must supply own welding helmet, steel toe boots, safety glasses. Ability to read and understand Blueprints, Engineering drawings and specifications. Ability to manipulate hand tools (Mechanically inclined) and assembly components involving fine and gross motor skills sufficient to demonstrate welding job tasks. Other duties as assigned.
Environment/Physical Demands:
Specific vision capabilities-close vision, distant vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, adjust focus, and good hand and eye coordination. Ability to lift 50lbs repetitively 100lb between two people occasionally. Frequently lift, stoop, bend, kneel, crawl, walk and climb a Ladder . Outdoor weather elements. Normal work hours are 7-3:30 Monday through Friday but overtime and weekends do happen You must be Available for these conditions, Must have a valid driver's license & If you always cannot wait to go home and can't get to work on time then please do not waste any of our time.
