Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and assembling metal components with precision and adherence to safety standards. Your expertise will contribute to the creation of high-quality metal structures and parts, supporting various construction and manufacturing projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity for hands-on work in a fast-paced environment where craftsmanship and attention to detail are highly valued. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to ensure accurate assembly and welding. Perform welding operations using various techniques including MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) in accordance with AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate metal components by cutting, shaping, and assembling sheet metal, structural steel, and other metal materials using plasma cutters, power tools, hand tools, and machining equipment. Measure and verify dimensions using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precision in fabrication. Use mechanical knowledge to interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately for assembly and fabrication tasks. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, properly handling tools and equipment, and following safety guidelines during all welding and fabrication activities. Collaborate with team members on construction site projects or in the fabrication shop to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Skills Extensive experience with construction sites or manufacturing environments involving metal fabrication. Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, SMAW, and gas metal arc welding. Strong ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical blueprints for accurate fabrication. Skilled in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, shop math calculations, and other measuring tools. Mechanical knowledge of metal materials, sheet metal fabrication processes, machining operations, plasma cutting, and assembly procedures. Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, safety protocols, and welding equipment to ensure efficient workflow. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately for precise fabrication work. Knowledge of AWS standards for welding quality assurance. Experience with mechanical fabrication shops or manufacturing facilities involving metal materials.
