Job Description
Direct Hire Welder SMF in Anderson, SC is hiring a Welder to join their manufacturing team. This role is responsible for producing quality welds on metal components while following safety, quality, and production standards. Candidates must be able to follow work instructions/prints and successfully complete both an interview and a weld test prior to hire. Responsibilities for Welders Perform welding operations on metal parts and assemblies to meet quality and production requirements Set up and operate welding equipment; adjust settings based on material type and thickness Read and follow work instructions, weld symbols, and/or basic blueprints as required Inspect finished welds for quality, consistency, and defects; rework as needed Use grinding and finishing tools to prep and clean parts (as required) Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all PPE and safety guidelines Support production flow by communicating issues, material needs, or quality concerns to leadership Requirements for Welders MIG welding experience (required) Prior welding experience in a manufacturing environment Ability to pass a weld test (process and material type determined by SMF) Ability to pass an interview and meet attendance expectations Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (as needed), stand for long periods, and perform repetitive motions Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality Preferred Qualifications Experience welding carbon steel and/or stainless steel Ability to read blueprints and interpret weld symbols Fabrication experience (fit-up, measuring, tack welding) Work Environment Manufacturing environment with noise, PPE requirements, and exposure to heat/sparks Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions throughout the shift Benefits Eligible for company benefits per SMF policy (medical, dental, vision, PTO, holidays, etc.) HTI is an Equal Opportunity Employer M/D/F/V/SO.
