Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our team during night shifts and weekends. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic fabrication environment, where your expertise will directly contribute to the creation and assembly of high-quality metal components. You will be responsible for interpreting technical drawings, performing various welding processes, and fabricating metal parts with precision and safety at the forefront. Responsibilities Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and fabrication shop drawings to determine project requirements. Perform welding operations using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungsten Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) techniques according to AWS (American Welding Society) standards. Fabricate, assemble, and modify metal components utilizing hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and machining equipment. Measure materials accurately using calipers, micrometers, measuring instruments, and shop math to ensure precise fabrication. Use sheet metal fabrication techniques to create custom parts from various metal materials while adhering to safety protocols. Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all safety procedures are followed during welding, cutting, and assembly processes. Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards in all fabrication tasks. Qualifications Proven experience working on construction sites or in manufacturing/fabrication shops with metal materials. Proficiency in welding techniques including MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SMAW; certification from AWS is highly desirable. Strong ability to read blueprints and interpret mechanical drawings accurately. Familiarity with measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and shop math for precise fabrication. Mechanical knowledge related to metal fabrication, machining, plasma cutting, assembly, and use of hand tools and power tools. Ability to work night shifts and weekends consistently while maintaining safety standards. Knowledge of safety protocols related to welding environments and fabrication shops.
