This position is specifically for welders who have extensive, hands-on field experience with both TIG and Stick welding on carbon steel pipe . This is not an entry-level or training position. Candidates must be able to step onto the job and perform at a high level from the start. Ideal candidates will have substantial real-world experience and be able to confidently discuss their previous pipe welding work, processes, materials, and field experience.
Pay:
$35-$37/hour, based on experience and qualifications. Duties Perform TIG and Stick welding on carbon steel pipe Weld primarily on 2-inch, 4-inch, and 6-inch carbon pipe Complete welds accurately and efficiently while maintaining quality standards Read and follow job specifications and work instructions Inspect work and maintain consistent weld quality Follow all required jobsite and safety procedures Work effectively as part of an experienced field crew Adhere strictly to safety protocols by wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE), maintaining a clean work environment, and following OSHA standards. Collaborate with team members during assembly processes, ensuring proper alignment using hand tools and measuring instruments. Conduct inspections of welds using visual testing techniques and non-destructive testing methods when necessary to confirm quality standards are met. Requirements Several years of professional pipe welding experience Strong, verifiable TIG welding experience Strong, verifiable Stick welding experience Extensive experience welding carbon steel pipe Previous experience performing pipe welding in an industrial, commercial, construction, or similar field/jobsite environment Must be comfortable working 10-hour shifts, 5-6 days per week Must be available to start ASAP Resume is required for consideration Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and mechanical schematics accurately. Strong mechanical knowledge related to metal fabrication, machining, plasma cutting, and assembly processes. Familiarity with the use of measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools essential for precision work. Knowledge of American Welding Society (AWS) standards for welding quality assurance. Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while applying shop math for measurements and calculations. Mechanical fabrication experience within a manufacturing or fabrication shop environment is highly desirable. Demonstrated adherence to safety protocols at all times on the job site or in the shop environment. Mechanical blueprint interpretation skills combined with hands-on experience using hand tools and power tools for assembly tasks. Project Commitment This is expected to be a 3-4 month assignment , and we are looking for welders who can commit to the project for its full duration.
