Job Description
MAU is hiring a TIG Welder for our client in Columbia, SC. As a TIG Welder, you will fabricate and weld piping assemblies and structural steel while ensuring all welds meet ASME pressure vessel and piping code requirements. This is a direct-hire opportunity. Benefits Package $5,000 sign-on bonus Relocation assistance Competitive salary based on experience Varied insurance offerings with company match Professional development opportunities Positive and supportive work environment Shift Information 4-day work week General Requirements Ability to weld pipe diameters ranging from 1/2" to 36" in all positions Ability to pass a welding test in the fixed 6G position Ability to operate a high-frequency amperage control foot pedal while welding Ability to weld structural steel in all positions Ability to identify the correct filler wire for a given base metal Ability to interpret drawings and welding symbols used in fabrication Ability to calculate pipe fitting take-outs and piping measurements Essential Functions Weld pipe diameters ranging from 1/2" to 36" in all positions Operate a high-frequency amperage control foot pedal during welding operations Weld structural steel in all positions Select the appropriate filler wire based on the base metal being welded Ensure all welds meet ASME pressure vessel and piping code requirements Prepare pipe fittings and pipe ends for full-penetration welds on pipe assemblies Perform GTA welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and duplex stainless steel Interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols for piping assemblies and skids Calculate pipe fitting take-outs and piping measurements Working Conditions Hourly, non-exempt position Physical Demands Must be able to weld in all positions Must be able to operate a foot pedal while welding MAU Workforce Solutions is an innovative global company with extensive experience providing solutions for success in staffing, recruiting, technology and outsourcing to our clients, employees, and applicants.
