We are seeking D1.1 Certified Structural Welders for a project in and around the Greenville, NC area. The Welder will perform hand welding or cutting operations on structural carbon steel beams, square tubing, angle iron and more. Per diem is available for those who qualify.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Operate welding equipment, regulate current and voltage or gas and wire flow rate for proper penetration and fusion of metals.
• Prepare surfaces, set-up welding equipment, select proper electrode type and size or wire type for the specific job.
• Position pieces to be welded in to jigs, holding fixtures, or guides.
• Perform all positions of welding on various structures and metals.
• Utilize blueprints or technical diagrams following state or local codes.
• Promote, maintain and adhere to OSHA regulations.

Experience:

• At least 2 year of related experience.
• At least 2 year of experience utilizing Arc, MIG, or TIG operations.
• Working experience using blueprints or technical diagrams.
• Experience planning and layout of welding sequence.

Requirements:

• D1.1 Structural Welding Certification
• Able to regulate current and voltage or gas and wire flow rate.
• Have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
• Have tools of the trades.

$30.00 - $33.00 per hour Expected hours: 60.0 - 84.0 per week
