Canadian Certified Welder (CWB Certified) Greenville, SC but will travel 75% of the time We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Canadian Certified Welder to join our production and fabrication team. The ideal candidate holds valid Canadian Welding Bureau (CWB) certifications and possesses strong technical proficiency in reading engineering drawings, fitting, and executing high-quality welds across various structural steel, custom fabrication, or industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities Welding Operations:

Perform high-quality structural and custom welding processes (SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, and/or GTAW) in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead) per CWB/CSA standards.

Blueprints & Schematics:

Interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, blueprints, and job specifications to determine layout and assembly requirements.

Preparation & Fabrication:

Cut, grind, fit, clamp, and tack-weld components into final assemblies prior to full welding.

Quality Assurance:

Inspect completed welds for accuracy, structural integrity, and defect-free standards according to CWB/CSA rules; prepare joints for Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) when required.

Equipment Maintenance:

Maintain, troubleshoot, and set up welding equipment, torches, power sources, and shop tools safely and efficiently.

Safety & Compliance:

Adhere strictly to company safety policies, provincial OH&S regulations, and proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements Certification:

Active CWB certification under

CSA W47.1

(Steel) or

CSA W47.2

(Aluminum) required.

Trade Credential:

Journeyperson Welder ticket or Red Seal Endorsement is strongly preferred.

Experience:

Minimum 2-5 years of experience in structural steel fabrication, manufacturing, or industrial construction.

Technical Skills:

Proficient in reading and interpreting structural blueprints and welding symbols. Demonstrated proficiency in standard welding processes (FCAW/GMAW primary, SMAW/GTAW secondary). Knowledge of metal metallurgy, pre-heating, and post-weld heat treatment procedures.

Physical Requirements:
