Hiring Welder in Spartanburg, Sc! Pay up to $28/hr. 1st shift 7- 3:30 p.m. (M-F) Job Description The Welder fabricates, assembles, and repairs metal components used in screening solutions and related products. This role demands strong welding skills, precise workmanship, and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality products that meet customer specifications and production schedules. Responsibilities Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding operations in accordance with engineering drawings, specifications, and established quality standards. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols to plan and execute welding tasks accurately. Fabricate, assemble, and weld metal components to required tolerances and specifications, ensuring structural integrity and proper fit. Inspect completed welds for accuracy, strength, and compliance with quality requirements, making adjustments as needed. Operate welding equipment, grinders, cutting torches, and other fabrication tools safely and efficiently. Conduct routine inspections and basic maintenance on welding and fabrication equipment to ensure proper operation and longevity. Follow all safety procedures, use required personal protective equipment (PPE), and adhere to company policies at all times. Collaborate with production, quality, and engineering teams to meet customer requirements, production schedules, and continuous improvement goals. Identify and communicate process improvements that enhance safety, quality, and productivity within the welding and fabrication area. Maintain a clean, organized work area in accordance with 5S and lean manufacturing principles. Assist with other manufacturing tasks and support team members as needed to meet overall production objectives. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED. Minimum of 2 years of welding experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Proficiency in MIG welding, with the ability to produce consistent, high-quality welds. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, work orders, and weld symbols. Strong understanding of welding techniques and fabrication processes. Ability to use measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and squares accurately. Basic math and problem-solving skills to calculate measurements and troubleshoot issues. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively as part of a team. Strong commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE and safety protocols. Focus on quality, attention to detail, reliability, and accountability in daily work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Spartanburg, SC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
