POSITION SUMMARY

• This position is responsible for various types of weld preparation, welding, and welding finishing operations to manufacture products to customer specifications.

A. EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATIONS 1.

Minimum Requirements:

• HS Diploma or GED; and 0-1 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

2. Required Certification and/or

Licensure:

• Welding Certification 3.

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical.

B. POSITION ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 1.

Competent at reading and interpreting blueprints, work instructions, and material requirements to complete the job task per product specifications. 2. Accurately record the time spent on jobs, training, and meetings through the company's tracking software. 3. Sets up and operates welding equipment common to the welding trade including, but not limited to, drill press, iron worker, welders, torches, etc. 4. Demonstrate proper welding techniques. 5. Ability to obtain welding certification.

C. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

While performing the duties of this job you are required to: 1.

E. WORK ENVIRONMENT

This person works in an environment where: 1. The noise level is usually loud 2. There is occasional dust, fumes, odors, and chemical exposure. 3. Works in hot/cold temperatures 4. Can work alone and/or with others 5. Works around objects that can be very sharp.
