Today Job Description SBI Manufacturing is seeking a motivated Welder/Fabricator to join our growing team. This position is responsible for producing high-quality weldments and fabricated components for custom and production projects serving the agricultural, industrial, municipal, and transportation industries. The ideal candidate takes pride in craftsmanship, works safely, and contributes to a team committed to delivering quality products on time. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum components. Read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and work orders. Fit, tack, weld, and finish fabricated assemblies to company quality standards. Inspect welds and completed assemblies to ensure dimensional accuracy and weld integrity. Operate grinders, saws, ironworkers, drill presses, and other fabrication equipment. Work with laser-cut and formed components to complete finished assemblies. Assist with fixture setup and maintain organized work areas. Follow established welding procedures and quality requirements. Meet production schedules while maintaining excellent workmanship. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding project status. Maintain equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance. Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE. Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred. 2+ years of MIG welding and fabrication experience preferred. Ability to read blueprints and fabrication drawings. Experience with carbon steel required; stainless steel and aluminum experience preferred. Ability to accurately use measuring tools including tape measures, squares, calipers, and angle finders. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. AWS certification is a plus but not required. Physical Requirements Frequently lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Stand, bend, kneel, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods. Safely operate welding and fabrication equipment. Work in varying temperatures typical of a manufacturing facility.
