Key Responsibilities:
o Independently perform welding operations such as fabricating squares, rectangles, circles, oval radius corners, and other custom shapes in steel or aluminum, with mounting hardware. o Ability to learn complete knowledge of cabinet assembly for plastic faces, flexible faces, bracing, raceway installations, mounting provisions, custom shapes, molds, and jigs. o Follow work orders and drawings to complete projects on time and according to drawings and customer specifications. o Maintain tools and equipment by ensuring they are cleaned and in good working condition. Will assist in scheduling and training as needed, and work closely with other welders, fabricators, and production teams to complete projects efficiently and on time o Meet company quality standards by completing control check sheets and documenting materials and time on work orders accurately. o Follow all safety protocols, wearing required protective gear (safety glasses, steel-toed shoes, welding helmet, leathers, gloves, earplugs). o Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
o A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Certification from a trade school or welding apprenticeship program is desired but not mandatory. o Strong knowledge of welding processes, techniques, and materials. o Proficiency in reading drawings and job specifications. o Ability to operate and maintain welding machines and related equipment. o Excellent attention to detail and precision.
Physical Requirements:
o Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs.). o Capable of standing for long periods; bending, kneeling, or squatting as needed during welding tasks.
Pay:
$18.00 - $28.00 per hour
