Fabricator, United States - (Ooltewah, TN, Onsite) The Mining and Infrastructure Attachments division is a global leader in developing, manufacturing, and marketing hydraulic attachment tools, ground engaging tools, and infrastructure battery-powered hand tools and attachments. In this role, your mission and responsibilities will be to:
This Fabricator role is responsible for operating cranes, fabricating product, and maintaining welding tools and equipment in a safe and efficient manner to achieve the quality and production standards of the company. Specifically, you'll: Layout, position, align and fit components into welding fixture as instructed.
Set-up gas-shield, mig-weld and weld parts to job specifications.
Removes rough spots from castings, using portable powered grinder and hand file, to finish welded parts
Various positioning of metal components in assembly, using straightedge, combination square, calipers, and rule.
Lifts and positions components on assembly table, using electric crane, jacks and shims.
Repairs broken or cracked parts, fill holes, welds various metal parts together
Operates various equipment necessary to fabricate (jigs, fixtures, grinders, tape measure, level, hammer, etc.)
Receives instructions, prints and work orders for the job. Plans details of working procedure and tools and material requirements.
Fabricates equipment by cutting, burning and welding various metals, and cleans and prepares surfaces to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and tacks weld parts. Builds up worn or defective surfaces, and keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly Experience and requirements: You're a curious problem solver who can bring big ideas to life.
