Maryville, TN PrideStaff is currently interviewing experienced MIG Welders for our client in Maryville, TN. We are looking for dependable, safety-minded candidates with strong welding skills and a commitment to producing quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Position Summary The MIG Welder will weld and assemble trailer components according to established quality and production standards. This position requires proficiency in MIG welding, attention to detail, and the ability to accurately interpret measurements, layouts, and blueprints. Successful candidates will be able to produce strong, consistent welds while maintaining structural accuracy, productivity, and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities Perform MIG welding on trailer components using proper welding techniques and equipment. Inspect completed welds for cracks, incomplete fusion, irregular seams, and other defects. Make necessary weld repairs to ensure components meet quality standards. Measure, position, align, and secure parts using tape measures, levels, combination squares, and other tools. Monitor welding processes to prevent overheating, warping, distortion, and structural defects. Safely operate welding equipment, hand and power tools, and overhead cranes. Read and interpret blueprints, measurements, and production specifications. Complete work orders and verify the accuracy and quality of completed work. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Follow all workplace policies and applicable safety requirements. Cross-train and assist in other production areas as needed. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of MIG welding experience. Previous manufacturing or industrial experience preferred. Ability to accurately read a tape measure to 1/16 inch . Experience using hand and power tools in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read blueprints and interpret measurements. Knowledge of plasma cutting and metal fabrication processes. Basic math skills, including arithmetic and geometry. Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet production expectations. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Strong commitment to workplace safety. Physical Requirements Ability to identify small details at close range. Ability to safely grasp, manipulate, and assemble materials and components. Ability to work in various welding positions, including overhead, flat, and vertical. Ability to stand for extended periods and regularly kneel, bend, and squat.
