Welder Job Description This Welder/Fabricator role is responsible for welding products and maintaining welding tools and equipment safely and efficiently to meet the company's quality and production standards. Responsibilities Perform MIG welding and fabrication tasks. Maintain welding tools and equipment in excellent working condition. Ensure all welding activities meet quality and production standards. Read and interpret blueprints and tape measure accurately. Utilize weld fixtures for part layout. Essential Skills Proficiency in MIG welding and fabrication. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tape measure. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to read and understand work order routings and instructions. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a fabrication and weld shop with available shifts from 6am to 2:30pm, Monday to Friday, with mandatory overtime on Saturdays. Alternatively, work from 6pm to 4:30am, Monday to Friday, or choose 12-hour shifts from Monday to Thursday to avoid working on Fridays. Enjoy a shift premium of $1.75 for third shift work. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Ooltewah, TN. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
