Looking for Welder jobs in Vonore where your welding skills help build quality products? This opportunity lets you apply your craftsmanship to fabricate, join, and repair metal components while supporting safe, efficient manufacturing operations. Hand welding of metal components in support of fabrication of heavy trucking industry seating. Welders will utilize mig weld practices to weld components both in and out of fixtures. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred. Technical school welding certificate or related welding training preferred. Ability to read blueprints, work instructions, weld symbols, and process sheets. Basic math and measuring skills required. Experience Requirements Previous experience as a MIG Welder, Production Welder, Fabrication Welder, or Manufacturing Welder preferred. Experience welding metal components in a manufacturing or production environment. Ability to set weld parameters, including wire speed, heat settings, and burn-back rates. Experience using measuring tools such as tape measures, calipers, and gauges. Preferred Qualifications Strong knowledge of MIG welding processes and welding equipment components. Ability to identify weld quality concerns and troubleshoot production issues. Understanding of weld fixtures and the need for preventive maintenance or repairs. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality assemblies. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and cross-train in multiple production areas. Dependable attendance and commitment to workplace safety. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift. Ability to regularly lift and move up to 40 pounds. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for welding and assembly work. Ability to work safely around welding equipment, fixtures, and manufacturing machinery. Close and distance vision required for inspecting welds and reading specifications. Job Duties Perform MIG welding on metal components to produce seat assemblies for heavy-duty vehicle applications. Weld parts both in and out of fixtures while maintaining quality and production standards. Read blueprints, weld symbols, process sheets, and work instructions to ensure accurate assembly. Set up and adjust welding equipment, including wire feed systems and weld parameters. Inspect parts and assemblies for quality issues and identify conditions that may affect weld performance. Assist with fixture maintenance by identifying repair or preventive maintenance needs. Use measuring instruments to verify dimensions and product specifications. Support production goals while following all safety regulations, housekeeping standards, and company procedures.
