Abilene, TX Pay Rate:
$18.00- $30.00 per hour Day Shift | Monday
- Thursday | 6 AM
- 6 PM | $22/hr. + 16 hours of OT at $33/hr. Night Shift | Monday
- Thursday | 6 PM
- 6 AM | $24/hr.

Job Duties Follow all work instructions and weld to established parameters. Preheat welds. Weld GMAW in the flat and horizontal positions. Clean weld joints. Visually inspect the joint for cleanliness and depth. Visually inspect the part before quality inspection. Fit parts keeping offset in spec, making sure orientation and alignment marks are correct. Measure layout. Fabricate simple weldments to print. Perform basic maintenance tasks such as changing wire, drive rolls, liner, contact tip , cleaning equipment , and replacing consumables. Operate the overhead crane after certification. Properly inspect rigging equipment and use proper rigging technique. Record job and labor code information in the time matrix. Actively support all EHS and continuous improvement initiatives. Basic handling of Oxy fuel torch. Requirements High school diploma or GED required 2+ years of current and directly related welding experience Overhead crane after certification (can be completed after hire) Be able to pass a Jaeger J2 vision test & a weld qualification test(s) Able to read and follow all weld work instructions and consistently weld within parameters Ability to weld with up to 1/16 weld wire Ability to use the air arc process Able to meet the physical demands of this welding work- stooping, bending, kneeling, reaching, walking, and standing Benefits Competitive Weekly Pay Comprehensive Benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
