The role requires reading blueprints and technical drawings, setting up and maintaining welding equipment, and ensuring precise layout, fitting, and alignment of components. The welder must also assist teammates, maintain a clean work area, and demonstrate strong knowledge of welding fundamentals and materials.
Responsibilities:
Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions Lay out, position, align, and secure parts and assemblies prior to assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers Recognize, set up, and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as shielded metal arc and gas metal arc welding equipment Analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, sketches, work orders, and material safety data sheets to plan layout, assembly, and welding operations
Qualifications and Requirements:
Possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in welding in a manufacturing environment or equivalent training / education 2 years or more experience with welding Aluminum Sheet Metal Considerable knowledge of principles and practices of TIG welding, effective oral and written communication skills

  • 27/hour, excluding benefits, bonuses, or other compensation.
Your final salary will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, location, and internal pay equity. Please note, hiring at the top of the range is uncommon to allow room for future salary growth.
