Roles and Tasks Analyze and prepare surfaces and seams to be welded, per AWS, WPS, and/or work instructions. Run the finish on parts using sanders/grinders, in order to ensure the desired results. Ensure the quality of processed products according to the standards of control. Repair the welding processes that do not meet the quality, using sanders. Perform manual welding, arc-air, back-gouging & gouging, grinding (door-frame and repair dress-up). Perform welding of tacks, root pass, and semi-automatic welding repairs Train welders as well as ensuring compliance with the safety standards using the appropriate PPE Optimize the means and tools placed at their disposal. Avoid unnecessary downtime in the process; ensuring productivity and daily targets are achieved. Attend training program when called. Perform other tasks related with the requirements for the exercise of the function. Perform other tasks per supervisor's requests. Filling in all inspection and production forms associated to the operation as required. Respect Safety Standards and use of PPE. Clock-in and clock-out (mark attendance with the punch card) at the beginning and at the end of the shift. Execute clock-in and barcode reading in the SAP stations at the beginning and at the end of each task in production Carry out activities related to 5S in the area. These roles and tasks are only enunciative but not limitative.
